Hinesburg Home Search

Hinesburg is a town in Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. The town was named for Abel Hine, town clerk.[3] The population was 4,340 at the 2000 census.  According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 40.1 square miles (103.9 km2), of which 39.8 square miles (103.1 km2) is land and 0.3 square mile (0.8 km2) (0.75%) is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 4,340 people, 1,596 households, and 1,174 families residing in the town. The population density was 109.0 people per square mile (42.1/km2). There were 1,693 housing units at an average density of 42.5 per square mile (16.4/km2).
